Meet Cheryl... Meet Martha... Martha began doing yoga to help heal lower back pain and severe sciatica from herniated disks over 20 years ago. It worked and she's been a dedicated practitioner and student of yoga ever since. In 2004, she took her initial 200 hour teacher training with Jordan and Martin Kirk in Scottsdale Arizona. Through the years she has studied with teachers from a wide array of hatha yoga traditions. She specializes in making yoga accessible to beginners, especially older women who want help dealing with aches and pains and general effects of aging, so that they can stay active, vibrant and strong. Meet Kate... Kate Houle teaches a combination of Hatha, Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga with an emphasis on proper alignment and breath work. She offers modifications as needed and says, “Every body is different, I cater to the many varying and specific needs of each student with care and concern for their wellbeing. I love watching students develop strength, flexibility, balance and confidence through their Yoga practice.” Kate is a certified RYT 200 instructor, a 200-hour training program offered by Yoga Alliance. She is an experienced student and teacher of aerial arts and Yoga with silks/tissue as the primary apparatus. Kate is also a certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher with the knowledge and skills to teach yoga to populations with PTSD, GAD and PD. Classes offered at Lando Center
